Jim Brickman By Heart

Hold me close, baby please

Tell me anything but that you’re gonna leave

As I kiss this fallen tear

I promise you I will be here

Until the stars fall from the sky

Until I find the reason why

And darling as the years go by

Until there’s no tears left to cry

‘Til the angels close my eyes

And even if we’re worlds apart

I’ll find my way back to you…

By heart

When you go, I’ll stop the clock

I won’t ever let this moment stop

Time is stealing you from me

But it can never take this memory

Until the stars fall from the sky

Until I find the reason why

And darling as the years go by

Until there’s no tears left to cry

‘Til the angels close my eyes

And even if we’re worlds apart

I’ll find my way back to you…

By heart.

Until the stars fall from the sky

Until I find the reason why

And darling as the years go by

Until there’s no tears left to cry

‘Til the angels close my eyes

And even if we’re worlds apart

I’ll find my way back to you…

By heart.

Jim Brickman Hope Is Born Again

Starlight falling on the snow

Fire glows within

Celebrate the joyful news

Hope is born again

There is holly ’round the doorway

There is cider on the stove

And the sound of Psalm will fill the air

As the family gathers close

Lift your voices high and sing

Grace has entered in

Praises to the infant King

Hope is born again

Through the frost upon the window

See the stockings on the hearth

Where the light reflects the cheerfulness

That’s growing in our hearts

Lift your voices high and sing

Grace has entered in

Celebrate the joyful news

Hope is born again

Lift your voices high and sing

Grace has entered in

Praises to the infant King

Hope is born again

And the hope of that first Christmas

The day that Heaven came to earth

Now it comes again and fills our heart

As we celebrate His birth

Starlight falling on the snow

Fire glows within

Celebrate the joyful news

Hope is born again, hope is born again

Jim Brickman Deck The Halls

Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

‘Tis the season to be jolly, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Don we now our gay apparel, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Troll the ancient yuletide carol, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

See the blazing yule before us, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Strike the harp and join the chorus, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Follow me in merry measure, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

While I tell of yuletide treasure, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Fast away the old year passes, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Hail the New Year, lads and lasses, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Sing we joyous, all together, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Heedless of the wind and weather, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

Jim Brickman A Mother’s Day

Mom and Dad were reading in the den

Mom said, “I’m gonna go to bed, it’s late”

She went to the kitchen to make three school lunches

Another night in a mother’s day

Put the cereal bowls out for breakfast

Set the coffeemaker for 6 a.m.

Sewed a loose button on brother’s shirt for him

Checked sister’s math homework, sent a note to the teacher

Added eggs to the grocery list

Started a load of wash, made sure the doors were locked

Put water in the puppy’s dish

Wrote a check to the children’s piano teacher

Turned the dishwasher on

And Dad called out, “Honey, what’s takin’ you so long?”

Have I ever thanked you

For everything you’ve done?

Now all that I can say is

“I love you, Mom”

Hung some art on the refrigerator door

And headed up the stairs

Kissed all the children and helped sister comb

Her wavy golden hair

Washed her make-up off and turned on the bath

Lay down in the moon’s soft light and kissed Dad goodnight

Have I ever thanked you

For everything you’ve done?

Now all that I can say is

“I love you, Mom”

Thank you for nursin’ me

Through all those colds and fevers

Thank you for believin’ in me

When they were no other believers

And it’s never too late to say

“I love you, Mom”

Jim Brickman Ave Maria

Ave Maria, gratia plena, dominus tecum

Benedicta tu in mulieribus

Et benedictus fructos ventri tui Jesus

Santa Maria, Santa Maria

Maria, ora pro nobis

Nobis pecatoribus

Nunc et in ora

In ora mortis nostrae

(Santa Maria, Santa Maria)

Maria, ora pro nobis

Nobis pecatoribus

Nunc et in ora

In ora mortis nostrae

Amen, Amen

Jim Brickman A Little Bit Of Christmas

This year

I’m gonna make sure

That I don’t let a moment go by

Where I don’t tell the ones I love

How much I love them

This year

I’m gonna let go

Of the mess and the stress and the rush

And pay more attention to the beautiful stuff

Look all around

Everywhere you look

There’s a little bit of Christmas

There to be found

Everywhere you look

There’s a little bit of Christmas

Smiling faces, joyful sounds

I believe it all year round

We could use a little bit of Christmas

We could use a little bit of Christmas

This year

I’m gonna pray

For the ones who lost their way

And remember, for the grace of God, go I

Each year

From here on out

I’m gonna count my blessings

And raise my voice to the heavens when choir sings

Look all around

Everywhere you look

There’s a little bit of Christmas

There to be found

Everywhere you look

There’s a little bit of Christmas

Smiling faces, joyful sounds

I believe it all year round

We could use a little bit of Christmas

We could use a little bit of Christmas

Look all around

Everywhere you look

There’s a little bit of Christmas

There to be found

Everywhere you look

Look all around

Everywhere you look

There’s a little bit of Christmas

There to be found

Everywhere you look

There’s a little bit of Christmas

Smiling faces, joyful sounds

I believe it all year round

We could use a little bit of Christmas

We could use a little bit of Christmas

We could use a little bit of Christmas

Jim Brickman Beautiful (As You)

From the moment I saw you,

From the moment I looked into your eyes.

There was something about you I knew, I knew.

That you were once in a lifetime,

A treasure near impossible to find.

I know how lucky I am to have you.

’cause I’ve seen rainbows that could take your breath away.

The beauty of the setting sun that ends a perfect day

And when it comes to shooting stars, I have seen a few.

But I’ve never seen anything as beautiful as you.

Holding you in my arms

No one else’s fit so perfectly

I could dance forever with you, with you

And at the stroke of midnight

Please forgive me if I can’t let go

Cause I never dreamed I find a cinderella of my own

’cause I’ve seen rainbows that could take your breath away (take your breath away)

The beauty of the setting sun that ends a perfect day

And when it comes to shooting stars, I have seen a few.

But I’ve never seen (I’ve never seen) anything (anything) as beautiful as you.

La da da da da da daaaaa

Ooohhhhhhhhhhhh Ohh

I’ve seen rainbows that could take your breath away (take your breath away)

The beauty of the setting sun that ends a perfect day

And when it comes to shooting stars, I have seen a few.

But I’ve never seen (I’ve never seen) anything (anything) as beautiful

No I’ve never seen… anything as beautiful as you

From the moment I saw you,

From the moment I looked into your eyes.

Jim Brickman Crown Him With Many Crowns

Crown him with many crowns,

the Lamb upon his throne.

Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns

all music but its own.

Awake, my soul, and sing of him

who died for thee,

and hail him as thy matchless King

through all eternity.

Crown him the virgin’s Son,

the God incarnate born,

whose arm those crimson trophies won

which now His brow adorn;

fruit of the mystic rose,

as of that rose the stem;

the root whence mercy ever flows,

the Babe of Bethlehem.

Crown him the Son of God,

before the worlds began,

and ye who tread where he hath trod,

crown him the Son of Man;

who every grief hath known

that wrings the human breast,

and takes and bears them for His own,

that all in him may rest.

Crown him the Lord of life,

who triumphed over the grave,

and rose victorious in the strife

for those he came to save.

His glories now we sing,

who died, and rose on high,

who died eternal life to bring,

and lives that death may die.

Crown him the Lord of peace,

whose power a scepter sways

from pole to pole, that wars may cease,

and all be prayer and praise.

his reign shall know no end,

and round his pierced feet

fair flowers of paradise extend

their fragrance ever sweet.

Crown him the Lord of love,

behold his hands and side,

those wounds, yet visible above,

in beauty glorified.

No angel in the sky

can fully bear that sight,

but downward bends his burning eye

at mysteries so bright.

Crown him the Lord of Heaven,

enthroned in worlds above,

crown him the King to whom is given

the wondrous name of Love.

Crown him with many crowns,

as thrones before him fall;

Crown him, ye kings, with many crowns,

for he is King of all.

Crown him the Lord of lords,

who over all doth reign,

who once on earth, the incarnate Word,

for ransomed sinners slain,

now lives in realms of light,

where saints with angels sing

their songs before him day and night,

their God, Redeemer, King.

Crown him the Lord of years,

the Potentate of time,

Creator of the rolling spheres,

ineffably sublime.

all hail, Redeemer, hail!

For thou has died for me;

thy praise and glory shall not fail

throughout eternity.

Jim Brickman Change Of Heart

I feel that I’m at a crossroads

I don’t know which way to go

You say that I am changing

Into someone that you don’t know

Who I am and who I’ll be

Is locked inside, inside of me

And if I follow my heart

Will you still be my friend

If we break apart?

How do I make, how will you take

My change of heart?

For years you have been my bestfriend

I thought that would always be

You know that I just can’t pretend

It’s written all over me

‘Cuz where I’ll go

And what I’ll do, I just can’t see

My life without you

If I follow my heart

Will you still be my friend

If we break apart?

How do I make, how will you take

My change of heart?

Moving on is gonna take some time

When I’m gone, you might have

A change of mind

Gotta take the chance,

No matter what I find.

No matter how far I travel

I think of you as home

Its not about finding someone else,

Its all about being alone

Because who I am and who I’ll be

Is locked inside, inside of me

‘Cuz if I follow my heart

Will you still be my friend,

If we break apart?

How will I make, how will you take

My change of heart?

How will you take

My change of heart?

Jim Brickman A Mother’s Prayer

As I lay you down to sleep I pray the lord

I pray the Lord your soul to keep

Cause I don’t need that much for me

This is a Mother’s Prayer

I pray for angels by your side

Ask they watch you day and night

Walk with you all through your life

This is a Mother’s Prayer

I pray that all the dreams you dream come true

And every star you wish upon

Grants every wish times two

I hope one day you get the chance

To truly see

What real love is

Like you’ve showed me

As I watch you fast asleep

I close my eyes and pray for peace

Cause now it means much more to me

This is a Mother’s Prayer

And as you grow as seasons pass

I hope that time won’t move too fast

Though it is too much to ask

This is a Mother’s Prayer

I pray that when you give your heart

It’s true

And all the love you give away

Comes back to you two times two

I hope one day you get the chance

To truly see

What real love is

And what you mean to me

In this great big world you can’t stay small forever

Cause before I know it you’ll be grown

And standing on your own

But I hope these words are something

That you’ll treasure

And you get the chance to whisper them

To children of your own

I pray that all the dreams you dream

Come true

And every star you wish upon

Grants every wish times two

I hope one day you get the chance

To truly see

What real love is

Like you’ve showed me

This is a Mother’s Prayer
